นายรังสรรค์ เพ็งพันธ์ (ที่ 3 จากซ้าย) รองกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ กลุ่มงานธรณีศาสตร์และการสำรวจ บริษัท ปตท.สำรวจและผลิตปิโตรเลียม จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ ปตท.สผ. และ ผศ.ดร.ธัชวีร์ ลีละวัฒน์ (ที่ 4 จากซ้าย) รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายสารสนเทศและวิทยาเขตกาญจนบุรี มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ร่วมลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ ภายใต้โครงการ PTTEP Subsurface University Energy Connect เพื่อพัฒนางานวิจัยทางวิชาการด้านธรณีศาสตร์ วิศวกรรมปิโตรเลียม สร้างบุคลากรด้านการสำรวจและผลิตปิโตรเลียม รวมถึงการหาแหล่งกักเก็บก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีการดักจับและกักเก็บคาร์บอน หรือ CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) เพื่อช่วยขับเคลื่อนประเทศไทยสู่เป้าหมายสังคมคาร์บอนต่ำ พิธีลงนามจัดขึ้น ณ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล วิทยาเขตกาญจนบุรี
ภายใต้โครงการ PTTEP Subsurface University Energy Connect ปตท.สผ. ได้ลงนามความร่วมมือกับหลายสถาบันการศึกษา เช่น จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ และมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น โดยมีเป้าหมายจะขยายความร่วมมือดังกล่าวไปยังมหาวิทยาลัยอื่น ๆ ต่อไป
PTTEP signs MoU with Mahidol University on E&P research and professional development, leading to advance CCS technology in Thailand
Mr. Rangsan Bhengbhun (3rd from left), Executive Vice President for Geosciences, Subsurface, and Exploration Group, PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) and Assistant Professor Thatchavee Leelawat (4th from left), Vice President for Information Technology and Kanchanaburi Campus, Mahidol University have jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the “PTTEP Subsurface University Energy Connect” project. The collaboration is aimed to carry out research study on geoscience and petroleum engineering, develop professionals in petroleum exploration and production and explore for carbon storage sites. These are pivotal to drive the Carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology development, leading Thailand to low-carbon society. The signing ceremony was held at Mahidol University Kanchanaburi Campus.
Under the PTTEP Subsurface University Energy Connect scheme, PTTEP has already signed MoU with several universities including Chulalongkorn University, Chiang Mai University and Khon Kaen University. The company plans to extend similar academic collaboration to others.
